Spoon Casserole

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
¼ tsp pepper
15 oz. can diced tomatoes
8-12 slices of American cheese
1 lb cooked elbow macaroni


Preparation:
Brown the beef, on stove top, using medium heat, in a 7 qt pot; drain; add onion and pepper. Cook until onions are tender. Reduce heat and mix in tomatoes. Add cheese one slice at a time and melt into the meat mixture. Remove from heat. Add cooked macaroni; mix well. Pour into a 3 ½ qt casserole dish. Cover lightly with aluminum foil and bake at 325° for 20 to 30 minutes until heated through. Serves 8-12.
